1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Urban Turf Arena:
- Account data — name, email, profile picture (via Google Sign-In)
- Booking data — sport, court, date, time, payment method, amount
- Payment data — handled directly by Razorpay; we store only the transaction ID and last 4 digits of the card / UPI ID for receipts. We never see or store your full card or UPI credentials.
- Device data — push notification token (FCM), browser type, IP address
- Communication preferences — phone number for WhatsApp / SMS confirmations (optional)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process bookings and payments
- To send booking confirmations and reminders via email, push notification, or WhatsApp
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To improve venue availability based on demand patterns (aggregated only)
3. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Razorpay — for payment processing
- Venue managers — they see bookings made at their venue (your name + contact only)
- Resend / Twilio — for sending email and WhatsApp confirmations
- Firebase (Google Cloud) — for hosting and authentication
We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties.
4. Data Retention
Booking history is retained for 3 years for tax and compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing the address in our Contact page.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (selected venue, recently viewed sports). We use Firebase Auth cookies for sign-in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Correction — update inaccurate data via your profile
- Deletion — request account deletion
- Withdrawal of consent — disable notifications in your device settings
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Payment data is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway. Firestore data is protected by user-level security rules.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of Urban Turf Arena after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
